Every Drop Counts: Smart Irrigation Strategies

Post Header

INTRODUCTION: Agriculture is entering its fourth industrial revolution. At GREIP, our mission is to ensure that this transition is both profitable for the grower and restorative for the planet.

Water scarcity is the greatest threat to global food security. Traditional flood irrigation is incredibly wasteful. GREIP’s automated drip systems use local weather forecasts and soil sensors to apply water only when and where it is needed. We explore the implementation of 'Subsurface Drip Irrigation' which eliminates evaporation loss and delivers water directly to the root zone, increasing water-use efficiency by up to 90% in arid climates.

"The most sustainable farm is one that speaks the language of data and respects the limits of biology."

Through our integrated technology stack, we are seeing yields increase by 25% while simultaneously reducing input costs. This hybrid approach—combining traditional knowledge with advanced robotics—is the only way to meet the global food demand of 2050.
